Northern Knights Car Club donates $900
Northern Knights Car Club president Ron Ahmann, secretary Darrell Tangen and officer-at-large Jen DeBlieck present a $500 donation to Connie Carmichael, executive director with Living at Home of the Park Rapids Area.
The Northern Knights Car Club recently contributed money to two local charities.
Club members voted to give $400 to the Hubbard County Food Shelf and $500 to Living at Home of the Park Rapids Area (LAH).
Club officers took a tour of the Senior Connections facility when they presented their check to LAH Executive Director Connie Carmichael Club on May 1.
“We got a chance to tour this wonderful facility, and we all marveled at the magnitude of the services they provide,” said club secretary Darrel Tangen.
The club has been around since 1982, Tangen said, and annually hosts the Run to the Rapids car show in August in downtown Park Rapids. For more information, visit northernknightscarclub.com or the club’s Facebook page.
